I’m Annemarie van Veelen.
When I was small I thought the library was a magic place. It was filled to the brim with books, on stacks that reach up to the ceiling. The stories could take you anywhere in the world, any place you would like to be.
I’ve been fascinated by written text ever since. I specialized in analyzing text in university, received my master’s degree in International Literature and I worked as a chief editor for a travel website. With a total of eight years experience in writing and editing, I’m not afraid to sink my teeth into a subject. I’m from the Netherlands, but I write primarily in English. As a freelance writer, I thoroughly enjoy being hired to work on all kinds of projects. I’m still in awe of the power that text has to grab your attention and transport you to another place.
